Kinapuwi – Learning Center for Courage

The Welamukotuk Kinapuwi Kehkitimo, or Learning Center for Courage, is a supportive education program for members of our First Nation who may be struggling to stay in school or who need a few additional credits to graduate.

At Kinapuwi, students receive the full regular curriculum while also having the opportunity to earn credits through learning Wolastoqey language, culture, and traditions.

The program provides a safe, nurturing environment where students are supported academically, culturally, and emotionally, helping them gain confidence and succeed in their educational journey.

Our Commitment

Kinapuwi is dedicated to empowering students with the courage, knowledge, and skills they need to complete their education while strengthening their connection to Wolastoqey culture. Through personalized support and culturally grounded learning, the center helps students build a brighter future.
